#wisdomwednesday (41) -December 9th 2020

#wisdomwednesday I was extremely grateful and fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a guest speaker today for a great mining company in thunder Bay. The topic of my talk was about positive thinking and I also talked about a few things that has helped me along the way and has helped me be who I am today. Three of my favourite topics in which I discussed were;⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Don’t complain about something that you have the ability to change. Focus and execute and do the best you can. Invest in yourself, be different, unique, and embrace your differences. There is a quote that I really like and it is “life is not about perfection, it is about progression”, just keep moving forward in a positive way. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
How you do something, is how you do everything. Do things for the right intentions, trust your gut feeling. Be you, do your own thing. Don’t compare yourself to others, run your own race. Good things take time. Don’t let people tell you that you can’t do anything.  People who say that they can do something and people who say that they can’t, they are both usually right.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Win the day: Make today count, make everyday count. Utilize your abilities and resources to accomplish what you want. Every day we are so fortunate to be alive, for me, it is all about bettering myself every day. Don’t do the bare minimum, try not to procrastinate, don’t reach a quota, reach your full potential. Having the win the day mentality is just as simple reminder to do your best every single day, and try to win, all the little wins add up to something special.⁣⁣

#wisdomwednesday For the most part, a lot of people live a busy and hectic lifestyle, especially this time of year. I can definitely attest to being a little more stressed this time of year. That being said, some of the things that I try to remind myself when I am stressed, would be;⁣

Some of the best decisions are made with instinct, intuition, taste, and heart. Never forget that. It's always important to trust your heart, follow your heart and do what you think is right for yourself and the people that you care about. Open up your heart with kindness and generosity.⁣

Never forget why you started something. Getting caught up in the day-to-day lifestyle of being busy, it can definitely be hectic. But something that always helps me is, when things get overwhelming, or if they do not go as planned, I always remind myself why I started what I did. For me, why I started the brand, what I wanted to do, why I wanted to do it, and for me, that always keeps me on the right track and gives me continuous motivation to keep working the hardest that I can and to try to solve the problems in the best way that I can, with the right intentions. A simple saying that I like a lot is "you can outwork anybody". It is simple but it is true, everyone has the ability to work hard and reach their full potential. ⁣

Just do the best you can with what you have. To take a day by day, one step at a time, to move forward in a positive way, to not let negative comments bring you down, or negative circumstances bring you down for that matter. To try and do the right things, to appreciate the people around you, to treat people right and live life to the fullest, to the best of your abilities.

#wisdomwednesday (39) - November 25th 2020

#wisdomwednesday One of my favourite quotes is "All people are created equal, but some just work harder". The great thing about work ethic is that we are in control of what we want to accomplish and we all have the ability to create our own reality. The reality where we can be happy. The great thing about happiness is that it has a different definition for everyone. During stressful times or difficult times It's always important to find the things in which makes us happy.⁣

During hard times and unforeseen times, it's important to look at the things in which we do have instead of the things that we could have had or don't have. I think it is truly important to choose positivity during frustrating times, to nurture the great relationships and to express gratitude.⁣

Choosing positivity. I think it's truly important to have a positive perspective and try not to let negative thoughts or negative altercations bring us down. When you think about it, it takes a lot of energy to be angry. To hold grudges or to be mad. What really helps me is responding to negativity with kindness and don't think anything of it. The thoughts in which we think, dictate what we will do or say, so having a positive mindset can help a tremendous amount.⁣

Nurturing great relationships. It's important to have people in your life that you love, and care about, and recognize the people who love you back. The people who take the time to help you, the people who want you to succeed, that have your back no matter what, who are willing to lend you helping hand, to help you reach your full potential. It takes a village to do something great, we can never do it by ourselves. And for that, it's important to express gratitude.⁣

#wisdomwednesday There's a lot of things in the world in which we can't control, but there are a lot of things in this world that we can. Attitude, effort, self belief, and being kind are all things in which we can do better at and improve on a daily basis. ⁣

#wisdomwednesday (37) - November 11th 2020

With this week's #wisdomwednesday, I thought to myself, what are some words that have helped me out tremendously and how does it relate to me in my day-to-day life? I thought of three different topics;⁣

Perspective, attitude, Adaptability: When it comes to perspective, it can always be worse, and it can always get better with the right attitude. The right attitude, a positive perspective, can make adaptivity an easier transition. For me adaptivity has been something that I've always had to deal with and overcome. Being different and living with limitations, it's not always easy, but there's always a way to do something. I think it's all about turning those limitations into beautiful struggles, because those beautiful struggles make us the person who we are today. Everything that is given to us, is given to us because we can handle it and overcome it. It allows us to build character, experience, and appreciation for what we have around us. When it comes to adaptability, there's always two options, there's the option in which you can sit back and accept things for what they are, or you can always go against the grain, choose the harder path, follow through and make yourself a better person with the opportunities that have been given to you.⁣

Gratitude and being genuine: This one was an easy one to think about, especially during a day like today, Remembrance Day. Being grateful and showing gratitude for what people have done for us and for what people continue to do, is extremely important. we are so lucky to live the lives that we live, and share special memories with the people in which we love. ⁣

Creativity and owning your skills; we live in a world where creativity is pretty incredible. Anything and everything is at our fingertips. Don't be ashamed of showing your skills and creative side. Everyone has something special to offer. With creativity, brings uniqueness and character. Everyone has the opportunity to shine bright and to impact the world in a positive way. Everyone has their own set of skills and tools to do something special. Sometimes when you tap into your creativity, it unleashes your best self.⁣

#wisdomwednesday (36) - November 4th 2020

#wisdomwednesday : learning, sharing, listening, and understanding. These are four things that we can always improve.

Learn: self-improvement, knowledge, self-awareness, learning what we like, learning what we don't like, it's all part of it. It's all part of a process, a process that we have to learn to enjoy. With everything that we do, there's always a learning experience. Sometimes when I don't do something properly, I figure out a better way to do it, I learn from it and I keep moving forward. Someone once told me and I say this a lot but it's only a mistake if you do it more than once, the first time is just a learning experience that allows you to grow, acknowledge, adapt and persevere in the long run.⁣

Share: sharing is caring. And I find that so true. Sharing yourself with others, sharing what you have to offer it's a true privilege and an honour to do so. Everyone is special and unique in their own way, and everyone brings something valuable to the table. Everyone has a different story, everyone lives different experiences, everyone is passionate about different things and there's always so much to learn from others, there's always different perspectives to take in and to accept. Sharing and giving back has a sense of fulfillment and when done properly, it definitely makes our hearts feel good. ⁣

Listen: they say, the best listeners are the best leaders. In my experience, you never know what you can learn if you just sit back and listen. Sometimes when you listen, you're able to do so much more good, you're able to help so many more people and you're able to understand what people are going through.⁣

And understand: we never know what people are going through, so it's important to be kind, have a positive perspective, and be there for one another. To be understanding, and to show compassion. ⁣

#wisdomwednesday (35) - October 28 2020

#wisdomwednesday I think it is important to do the things that make you happy, to be pumped about what you do, do things that bring you positive energy and great fulfillment. No matter what is going on in the world, it is important to flip any negativity into positivity. There's always something good that comes out of a bad situation. Three things that help me do this, in my experience would be:⁣

Have a proper power base, in other words, have a good foundation: build with your peers. I am so lucky and blessed to have so many great people in my life in regards to family, brothers, buddies. I've always been so fortunate to have the opportunity to look up and have inspiration all around me, in regards to the closest people that I love. I think that is super important, to surround yourself with people who inspire you, who believe in you, who want the best for you. ⁣

Find the proper reasons: Find reasons to keep you motivated, find reasons to better yourself, push forward, no matter what, even the toughest journeys lead to incredible destinations. It is all about pushing through, and pushing past your limits, because when pushing past your limits, amazing things happen. There's always going to be ups and downs, but I think it is just important to enjoy the ride, enjoy the process, be patient, and play the long game, because you never know what's going to happen.⁣

Take responsibility: I've always had the mentality that if something happens, good or bad, it's my fault, and I have the ability to change it, to find a solution, to make it better, and to get myself out of something. Something that's also helped me tremendously is try not to expect anything from anybody, and when doing something, do not expect anything in return. Do something because you want to do it, because it makes your heart happy and it's the right thing to do. ⁣

#wisdomwednesday (34) - October 21 2020

#wisdomwednesday I think it is super important to be creative because being creative, you have the ability to do something different, something unique, something that's never been done before. What I have really found, is that limitations are just self-imposed, anyone is capable of anything and if you have a goal, there's no reason why you can't get there.⁣

Everyone has meaning, everyone has value, everyone has something to say, everyone has a voice. As individuals, it's our responsibility, it's our job to become more of ourselves and to grow ourselves into the best version of ourselves. Always try to put your best self forward, who cares what other people think. The one thing that inspires me a lot is reminding myself that we are the commander of our own destiny. It's all about sticking to something, one goal at a time. Being persistent with a little bit of consistency. Kid Cudi says it the best "if you believe, and you want it, and you work hard enough for it, it can be so. Because there's no difference between you and I"⁣

#wisdomwednesday (33) - October 14 2020

#wisdomwednesday (33) - October 14 2020

#wisdomwednesday There's a quote by Oprah Winfrey that I love and it is " only you have the power to take responsibility to move your life forward". I think we all have the responsibility to live the best versions of ourselves and to be the best that we can be. Ultimately, it's all about just being a good-hearted person and to use your worth and your value to make the world a better place for yourself and others around you.⁣

Sometimes we're up and down, but it's all about continuing to learn, and continuing to push on. What really helps me to keep going is the general saying "when you have a lack of commitment or work ethic, it's almost an insult to the people who believe in you". For me, I feel so fortunate to have the people that I have in my life and I always try to prove their belief in me, to prove it right.⁣ They motivate me to keep getting better and better.

We can be whatever we want to be, we can do whatever we want to do. Anything is possible with the proper belief system. Everyone is deserving. Everyone is capable of living a great life, never be content and never settle for less than what you deserve. ⁣

#wisdomwednesday (32) - October 7 2020

#wisdomwednesday I think the coolest thing that you can be is you. Three things that has definitely helped me, personally as well as an in business setting; these are three little simple reminders. Even though they are little, in my opinion, they can be extremely beneficial:⁣

Trust your gut instincts. There's a reason why we think the way we think and there's a reason why we do the things that we do. I think it's important to not let anyone tell you that you can't do something. Don't succumb to peer pressure or pressure in general, find your voice, find what you enjoy, if it's different, but you love doing it, thrive in it, live it up. Impossible is nothing. Impossible is just someone else's opinion.⁣

Keep getting better. It is a simple mindset, but it does wonders. I think it is all about trying to let herself grow. To try and always be a sponge, learn as much as possible, learn from bad experiences, and always improve in a positive way. Ultimately, we all want to live the truest, best, and greatest version of ourself, and I think everyone has the potential to do so. I think it is important to keep in mind that persistent pays off and that improvement allows you to become better and better.⁣

Live a truthful life and rejoice in the good times. If you live a life with the point of view of truth, integrity, good intentions, I don't think we can ever go wrong. Enjoy the good moments, spread happiness, and just do things that make your heart happy.⁣

#wisdomwednesday (31) - September 30 2020

#wisdomwednesday (31) - September 30 2020

#wisdomwednesday I think it's all about trying to make the most out of every single day. Some days are definitely better than others. Everything nowadays seems to be going by so fast I think it is just important to live life in the moment. Three things that help me do so are the following, and if it can help one person, that's absolutely awesome.⁣

Love yourself and the rest will follow. Happiness from within is where it all starts. We are all capable of more than we think that we are. Something that I find extremely true is when people say "the only limit that there is is the one that you put on yourself". For me, I think pushing myself, doing things properly with repetition and overcoming difficult obstacles has really helped me. I think, if you look at things with a pure heart and a pure mind, it gives you energy and the opportunity to be more fulfilled.⁣

Keep moving forward. Little progress is still progress, and try and continuously better yourself. When bettering yourself, you have the opportunity to better the people around you, that way, it's beneficial for everyone. If you're working really hard, it inspires everyone else to try their best as well. Another great saying is "it's not about being the best, it's about maintaining your best". Do the best you can with what you have.⁣

Have the go all the way mentality. Don't quit, don't give up. One of my favorite quotes is "your attitude compromises the altitude of your outcomes, if you change your mind, it will change your life". When you concentrate on positive things, positive things will occur, and positive outcomes will come into fruition.

#wisdomwednesday (30) - September 23rd 2020

#wisdomwednesday (30) - September 23rd 2020

#wisdomwednesday There are three things that I try to remind myself on a continuous basis and I try to utilize these key principles on the daily. ⁣

Having a good belief system: Having the proper belief system in yourself can make the world of a difference. They say, as soon as you change the overall belief, it becomes true. How you think is how you will act. I think, It's always important to think positive thoughts in general, as well as positive thoughts about yourself. Your behaviour is a demonstration of what you believe to be true about yourself. ⁣

Add positive reinforcement and good energy: add value to the people around you as well as yourself. I think it is important to spread the light of positivity because when it is all said and done, we don't know what people are going through, and small acts of kindness can go a long way. Being positive regardless of what's going on in the world can make people realize that stuff isn't so bad, it could always be worse, and we just need to be grateful for what we have. Sometimes all we need is a little bit of good energy to make our environment and the world a little bit of a better place.⁣

Remember that we have one life: As humans, I think we just have the responsibility to live our life to the best of our abilities from the beginning to the end. We're definitely going to make mistakes, but that's all part of it. It allows us to understand what not to do and make adjustments to be greater and to be better. It just makes us stronger. There is a payoff for the bad eventually. That being said, we also have to remember that we're going to have a lot of fun along the way, so just enjoy every single second of it.⁣
