#wisdomwednesday (61) - June 2nd 2021

#wisdomwednesday This one is short and sweet and to the point. I think it's important not to let anyone speed up your process. It doesn't matter what's happening in the world, it doesn't matter what other people are doing or what people say. Do what you like to do, and do what makes you happy. I came across a quote the other day that I thought it was extremely powerful. "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough". Live right, and be the great person that you are. There is only one of you in this world, and that's extremely special. Everyone is meant to shine in their own way.

#wisdomwednesday (60) - May 26th 2021

#wisdomwednesday When I was thinking about what I wanted to write about this week, I thought about things that people have told me in the past that have helped me have a little bit of a different perspective. I've been able to utilize these little pieces of advice, add to them, and to try to remember them to get better and better every single day.

- "we are a direct result of our efforts". We hear it all the time, you get out what you put in, but the reason why we hear at all the time is because it's true. The better effort in which we put in, the better results we are going to achieve. And that goes with anything in life. For me, when I don't get the results in which I want, it just pushes me and forces me to reevaluate, rethink, and execute that much better, to try that much harder until it comes into fruition.

- "our success is based on a series of decisions that we make". For me, I'm a strong believer in trying to make as many good decisions as possible, to trust your gut instinct, and do things with the right intentions. We are where we are today because of the decisions that we make good or bad and every decision we make, leads us on the path in which we're supposed to be on. I think that's all part of the fun. That being said, if we do make a bad decision and we figure it out, it's not a fail, it's just a learning experience. It's only a mistake if we do it more than once, the first time is just a learning experience and a growth experience.

- "what is important, is not other people's opinions of you, it is your opinion of yourself, it is not your life if you constantly care about what others think of you". We all got to live with ourselves, and we have to do what makes us happy. It's important to love ourselves, and to let our light shine as bright as possible. And if people don't like you for you, I think they have a bigger problem.

- "Everything that you're going through right now is preparing you for what is to come". I think, it wouldn't be given to us if we couldn't handle it, sometimes we go through things or experiences happen, but all in all, it's all part of a bigger plan, it ultimately makes us better and better overall.

#wisdomwednesday (59) - May 19th 2021

#wisdomwednesday I heard a quote the other day and it went something along the lines of "lazy people do a little bit of work and think that they should be winning, and winners work as hard as possible and still worry if they're being lazy". It's something short and sweet, but it really puts things into perspective. Someone told me once those who are lazy pick up the remains of those who hustle. I was told this in one of my first years of university, and these are words that I have been living by ever since. Always try your best, always try to do good things.

I think it's just important to keep going, keep persevering, learn as we go, adapt, try our best, do things with the right intentions, not to sweat the little things, don't let the little things bother us and and try to be as happy as possible. Do things that make us happy, live life to our fullest potential, and just live a life that we're proud to live.

#wisdomwednesday (58) - May 12th 2021

#wisdomwednesday I seen a quote yesterday and I thought it was really powerful. It was "where you are now is just a reflection of your past thoughts. So if you want to change your future, you have to change your thoughts" and if you are where you want to be, continue to have those positive thoughts. I think it's super important to have positive thoughts due to the fact that the way you think, translates to how you act.

It is also extremely important to have positive thoughts about yourself. Your behaviour is a demonstration of what you believe to be true about yourself. Love who you are, be who you are, be comfortable in your own skin because the only person that can be you is you, and that's what makes everyone unique.

I think it's important to share ourselves with the people around us. Everyone has the ability to add value to the people around us. Kindness and compassion towards others and towards ourselves goes an extremely long way. Being positive regardless of what's going on in the world can make people realize that stuff isn't so bad, it could always be worse, and we just need to be grateful for what we have. Sometimes all we need is a little bit of good energy to make our environment and the world a little bit of a better place.

#wisdomwednesday (57) - May 5th 2021

#wisdomwednesday We only have one life, it's all about living our life to the best of our abilities. Some days we'll have great days, and some days not so much. Fortunately, we all have a lot more great days than bad. For me what helps me to have great days more often than not is just doing what I love to do. Doing what brings me joy; and to just to be thankful for the people and the things that I have in my life. I think a large portion of it is to express gratitude, to roll with the punches and enjoy what's happening around you, enjoy the process. Jay z says it the best "in life, people want to emulate the end result, and not the process". For me, the process of working hard, living experiences, the good ones and the bad ones, it's all part of it, that's the fun part. Everyone has their own journey to do something spectacular.

Sometimes you cannot have the good without the bad, you just have to roll with the punches, think, find a solution and make the most out of every situation. To utilize experiences as learning experiences, to grow, to elevate, to be better overall, as well as elevate the people around you, that way everyone can win.

#wisdomwednesday (56) - April 28th 2021

#wisdomwednesday The quote of "you are the only one who can change your life, no one else will do it for you" has always motivated me and pushed me to do what I want to do and to try the best that I can. This is something simple, but it is extremely effective.

The most successful people always say "you either find a way or you make a way". Everyone has the capabilities to do great things, to do what we want to do, and to do what makes us happy. A big part of that as well, is that I think it is important to be acceptable of who we are and just work towards becoming better and better every day. Accept what we have, work with what we have, and to be appreciative and grateful. Utilize learning experiences as lessons, grow from the experiences good and bad. For me what's really helped me is adapting the mentality of you either win or learn, and if you learn, try to adapt and conquer as best as you can. Most importantly never give up, no matter what.

#wisdomwednesday (55) - April 21st 2021

#wisdomwednesday Sometimes things get stressful, sometimes things get overwhelmed and sometimes things happen in which we can't control. This is something in which I'm going through a little bit right now. These are a few of the thought processes that got me through this, it might help someone else, so that's what I'm going to write about. Three things that allowed me to wake up, shake it off and help me put everything into perspective a little bit easier are the following:

1. Whatever you're doing, just have fun with it and find the good in everything: I think the process and the journey is all part of it, the journey to get to the destination in which we want to get to, that's the fun part, even if sometimes it can be tough. For me putting in the work, that's the fun part, because we always have the opportunity to work a little bit harder, to become more efficient, to work smarter. Even though sometimes things are tough, it challenges us to bring out our best and to exceed our expectations and because of that, it allows us to set higher expectations for ourselves, to reach our fullest potential.

2. Having the mindset of you don't have to do something, you get to do something. Having a mindset of gratitude, and reminding ourselves how privileged we are to have the opportunities that we have, to work with the people that we work with, and to love the people that we love. We don't have to, we get to, and that's truly a special feeling.

3. Remembering your why: why you started something, when you first started something, remembering how excited you were, that feeling of pure joy and excitement. Sometimes we got to remember how far we've come, and remember the amazing things that we've accomplished. Sometimes the bumps in the road allow us to forget about those types of things, but it's always extremely important to remember how far we've come, and to utilize that as building blocks to go even further.

#wisdomwednesday (54) - April 14th 2021

#wisdomwednesday Sometimes it is hard to stay motivated, especially with everything going on in the world at the moment. When I was thinking about writing this post, I thought of things in which I remind myself, things that I do that help me stay motivated and keep me on the right track to where I want to go. At times, it's definitely not easy, but these three perspectives definitely help me.

1. Having the proper mindset; I always try to remind myself to do better than I did last week. I think if you believe, if you want it, and you work really hard to get something or to get somewhere, eventually it will happen.

2. Someone once told me, "do what is necessary, then do what is possible. Suddenly, you're going to be doing the impossible". I think everyone has the opportunity to be great, to think highly of themselves. When we are at our greatest, it gives the others around us to follow suit, to bring the best out of themselves as well. That way, everyone wins, and everyone feels good.

3. Try not to look back; look to where your eyes and mind are going. To try and look forward, and focus on what you want. We can't have a positive life with negative thoughts, so it's always important to think positive, have positive thoughts and a positive perspective!

#wisdomwednesday (53) - April 7 2021

#wisdomwednesday (53) - April 7 2021

#wisdomwednesday This year has been extremely difficult for everyone. It has taught me to appreciate the little things in life, the things that are right in front of me (even more than before), and to take everyday moment by moment.

Sometimes when things slow down, it allows you to go back to the basics, and when that happens, everything falls back into place. It allows you to live a life with more meaning, more victories. It allows us to grow. We can grow from our experiences good and bad. Nobody in life is flawless. We will all do mistakes. Nobody is perfect. They say that the real perfection is perfecting our imperfections. I think, it's about being who we are, embracing our differences, finding true happiness and trying our best to get better and better every day.

Embrace Life as it comes, be as happy as possible, think positive and love the people who love you that much more.

#wisdomwednesday (52) - March 31st 2021

#wisdomwednesday I read a quote the other day, and it really got me thinking. The quote was "maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't you so that you can become what you were meant to be in the first place". I truly believe that everyone is meant to do great things and everyone is meant to be somebody, to be exactly who they are. Everyone has a place, everyone has a purpose, everyone has a meaning. I still have so much to learn, and so much to do, but there are a few things that have really helped me. The more in which I practice these, the more that things get a lot easier.

Stay true to the special relationships: it's incredible to have special relationships in your life. For the most part, when everything is going great, everyone loves you, but when something's go bad, there's only certain people there for you to pick you up. And those people, those are the special people, the people that always have your back, no matter what, no matter when, no matter how. Keep those people close. It's important to have people to pick you up, to build long-lasting and loving relationships. Everyone knows that winning is funner with the people that you love.

Facing the things in which we don't want to face: sometimes we go through obstacles and challenges, in which we don't want to face, but I think that's how we grow as individuals, it's facing obstacles, learning experiences, hard times. It allows us to adapt, overcome and achieve. We are able to become better, more efficient, intelligence, and independent. Sometimes when we get out of our comfort zone, that's when special things happen.

Enjoy the journey: I think it's important to enjoy the journey, have fun with it, see the good and everything, even though sometimes it can be difficult. Utilize obstacles as learning experiences and keep pushing and moving forward in the positive way. Smile a little more, frown a little less.

#wisdomwednesday (51) - March 24th 2021

#wisdomwednesday Sometimes people think that obstacles and challenges are a bad thing. But when you think about it, sometimes we need them. I think it's important to learn from them. It is an opportunity to get taught something about ourselves. To listen. I think it's important not to shy away from obstacles and challenges because they make us better overall in the long run. They help us focus to feel better and to improve. Someone once told me, hard times never last, but strong people do. It's so true.

As we feel better, and improve, we are able to do so towards others as well. Bring people up instead of bringing them down. I think that's what it's all about, just being a good hardest human being, being kind, and thoughtful. Show the world what you're capable of and make the most out of every situation.

#wisdomwednesday (50) - March 17th 2021

#wisdomwednesday (50) - March 17th 2021

#wisdomwednesday Everyone has meaning, everyone has value. Everyone can make a positive difference. Sometimes we get into a bit of a rut, sometimes it feel like we are standing still, or we're not moving fast enough. I thought I would share a few things that help me get out of ruts, and help me get things done in a efficient and proactive manner. They are simple, but sometimes the simple things are the best.

Keep moving forward: I think stuff gets better when we work at it. There's a quote that I try to remember all the time and it is work harder than you did yesterday. If we worked a little bit harder then we did the day before, there's no way that we can digress. If we have a little bit of progress each and every day, little progress, is still progress, and eventually, progress leads into improvements. I think an important thing to remember is to be the best version of ourselves in which we can be at this time and in this moment. Always enjoy the little wins because the little wins eventually add up to the big wins.

We don't have to do this, we get to do this: There's a lot of things in this world that we have to do, but there's a lot of things in this world that we get to do, and it's a privilege to do so. When I look at things in a form gratitude and I look at it as a privilege, for me it's a lot easier to do things, and for the most part, great things happen when we put effort and passion into it. There's a quote that I utilize a lot and it is how you do something is how you do everything. If you put in a half fast effort, you'll get half fast results. But if you put in a great effort, for the most part, you'll end up with great results and great accomplishments.

Have a positive perspective. If something ever goes wrong, I always remind myself that It could always be worse, there's always worst situations out there. No matter what happens, try not to make excuses but make solutions. Try to see the glass half full instead of half empty and instead of feeling sorry for ourselves, find a way to make things happen, to better ourselves.
