#wisdomwednesday (50) - March 10th 2021

#wisdomwednesday Someone once told me, there's only one way to fail in life, and that is if you don't try. Because if you try and you don't get what you accomplish, it's just a learning experience. I really think that there's always room for improvement, to make adjustments, there's always room to grow, to learn and to experience new things.

When I think about trying new things, it's important to never underestimate your abilities, because everyone has the abilities, the capabilities to do amazing things. Believe in yourself. No dream is too big, no dream is too small. Sometimes there are definitely bumps in the road, sometimes it might seem like a pipe dream, but those bumps in the road lead you in a different direction, and most of the time, things happen for a reason. Everyone has a different journey, I think it's just important to enjoy it, enjoy the ride.

Lead with your heart, do things with the right intentions, and do things that make you smile! No matter what is going on in this world, it could always be worse, find the little wins. Keep killing it!

#wisdomwednesday (50) - March 3rd 2021

#wisdomwednesday We are all capable of more than we know. Sometimes, that's the fun part. We continuously have the ability to exceed expectations, and we continuously have the ability to improve and get better everyday. Everyone has the abilities to do what they want to do. I am a strong believer in thinking that the only limits that there are, are the limits that we put on ourselves. Ultimately, the only person that can stop you is you. There is always going to be a little self-doubt, and I think that's normal, but I think it's important to be proud of ourselves, to be humble, to see how far we've come, and keep trying to be better and better no matter what.

What's really helped me, is self belief and positive affirmations. I think if you believe in yourself, and you believe in what you are doing, it makes you happy, and it makes people that you care about happy as well, that's perfect. That being said, I definitely think that your behavior follows your belief system. Having positive behavior, allows you have positive habits. For me, having positive habits allows me to have building blocks to be a little bit better every single day. There's a quote that I like to remind myself all the time and it is: "it is not about trying to outdo anyone, it is about out doing yourself". Every single day, no matter how hard or easy it can be, we should always try to strive to become a little bit of a better version of ourself today then we were yesterday.

#wisdomwednesday (49) - February 24th 2021

#wisdomwednesday February 24th is it day every year to support antibullying and to raise awareness to stop bullying. This is truly an amazing initiative. That being said, everyday should be a day for autibullying. Everyone is special and unique in their own way and everyone has different differences in which makes the world what it is today. I think it is important to lead with empathy, kindness, and compassion. Allow people to be who they are.

We never really know what someone is going through. Just by being kind, you never know what kind of impact you can have on someone's life. There's a quote that circulates quite often and it is said a lot by numerous people because it's true. In a world that you can choose to be anything, be kind. It doesn't cost anything to be kind, nice, and caring towards others. Jim Carrey says of the best, "the impact you have on others is the best currency that there is". If we have a positive impact on the people around us, that's the best thing we can do.

It's important to lift people up, not bring people down. In this world, there's only one you, no one else can be you but you. Live the best version of yourself, and be the best you can be every single day. Stay true to you!

#wisdomwednesday (48) - February 17th 2021

#wisdomwednesday. I was so fortunate and honoured to have the opportunity to be part of a special event tonight. Pep talks presented by @sudbury.school.of.fitness in support of the YMCA. Thank you so much to @citysworld705 for the opportunity.

To be honest, I didn't really have time to come up with a new wisdom Wednesday this week, so I thought I would share some of the key points in which I talked about in this speech/talk, and try to regurgitate it into words. I think these three points can really help in regards to what we're going through, dealing with the pandemic, and trying to get to a new normal.

Focus on what you have rather than focusing on what you don't have. For me, I try to do what makes me happy, do what I'm passionate about, and surround myself with people that make me happy. I got such a great support system, family, and the best buddies that I can ever imagine.

Happiness is really key. Do what brings joy. Doing what you love. Be thankful for the stuff that you have. Utilize every experience as a learning experience, to grow, to improve, to be better overall, as well as to elevate the people around you.

Do things for the right intentions, trust your gut feeling. Just be you, do your own thing. Don’t compare yourself to others, run your own race. Good things take time. Don’t let people tell you that you can’t do anything. The thing that I try to do all the time is prove the people that believe in you right and prove the people that don't, wrong.

#wisdomwednesday (47) - February 10th 2021

#wisdomwednesday A quote that I think about all the time is you can't accomplish what you're not focused on. I think it all starts with believing in what you're doing, believing in yourself, and just do the right things that make your heart happy and do the things that satisfy your soul. Doing things in which we love to do.

Ultimately, just do the best you can with what you have. To take a day by day, to move forward in a positive way, to not let negative comments bring you down, or negative circumstances bring you down for that matter. To appreciate the people around you, to treat people right and live life to the fullest, to the best of your abilities.⁣

keep going, keep improving, keep getting better. Everyone has the ability to overcome. To heal, and to rise to achieve great things. Anything is possible with the right mindset.

#wisdomwednesday (47) - February 3rd 2021

#wisdomwednesday I think life is all about growing, learning, self-evolution, getting better and better everyday, practicing good habits, surrounding yourself with the right people, projecting positive vibes around you and to just be happy.

People say it all the time, putting it in simple terms. To be successful, it's all about not being lazy and just get the things that need to be done, done. A quote that helps me, is the bigger the dream, the bigger the grind. And sometimes, whenever things don't go as planned, whenever there are some challenges or hardships, there's always a hidden blessing, and for the most part a strong lesson to learn.

For life to change, we have to change, and for it to get better, we have to get better. Sometimes the most simplest things, are the most effective.

#wisdomwednesday (46) - January 27th 2021

#wisdomwednesday Sometimes getting through difficult situations can be hard, but these are some of the things that help me.

Attitude and gratitude: when going through unforeseen circumstances or difficult times, it is important to have a positive attitude and express gratitude. Surround yourself with the people who help you level up, people that you can lean on, people that encourage you and allow you to be your best self.

Improvement: It is a simple mindset, but it does wonders. I think it is all about trying to let yourself grow. To try and always be a sponge, learn as much as possible, learn from bad experiences, and always improve in a positive way. Ultimately, we all want to live the truest, best, and greatest version of ourself, and I think everyone has the potential to do so. I think it is important to keep in mind that persistent pays off and that improvement allows you to become better and better. For me, improvement is progress, and progress helps me stay motivated in regards to what I want to do and where I want to go.

Find things that make you happy and do that: Live a truthful life and rejoice in the good times. If you live a life with the point of view of truth, integrity, good intentions, I don't think we can ever go wrong. Enjoy the good moments, spread happiness, and just do things that make your heart happy.

Don't let the negativity creep in: It's easy with the media, and other people's opinions to get sucked into a little more negativity than we would like, but I think it's all about staying focused, and doing what you want to do for yourself and doing things that make us happy.

#wisdomwednesday (45) - January 20th 2021

#wisdomwednesday I wanted to start this one off with a simple thought that I really like and it is don't shy away from something that makes you smile. Especially during everything that is going on, it's important to love a little more and push away the negativity.

This year has been a little different. As everyone knows, the last few months have been a lot out of the ordinary. And sometimes different brings challenges. Just because it's different and not the norm, it doesn't have to stop us from achieving what we want to achieve. There's always different ways to do something. Even though we are in a lockdown, there are still things that are not locked down and that we have available 24/7; work ethic, passion, kindness, and finding joys in the little things.

I think when talking a little bit about work ethic, it is about working for what you want. You're not supposed to wish for it, more than you're willing to work for it. And sometimes good things take time. A little bit of progress is still progress, every motion in a positive way is still progression moving forward. It is important to take it a day at a time and just be the best you that you can possibly be that day.

Doing the things that we love to do, things in which we are passionate about, things that bring us fulfillment and joy, that's what it's all about. That's what helps me. There's a quote that I always use all the time that someone once told me, and it is; if you don't have a smile on your face there's no point in doing something. With everything going on, in times like these, it allows us to reflect, enjoy the little things, be grateful, as well as thankful. Sometimes you just have to go the extra smile (even though we have to wear a mask and no one else sees it).

#wisdomwednesday (45) - January 13th 2021

With this #wisdomwednesday I thought of talking about three little sayings or little pick me ups that really push me and that helps me get going, they are some easy ways to stay motivated.

"The harder of you work, the luckier you get". Sometimes it's easy to get into a little bit of a rut and not want to do something. Whenever I feel a little bit off, and I know I should be working harder, I always remind myself of this saying. Ultimately, the harder we work, the more quality opportunities we get. My dad always tells me "luck is when preparation meets opportunity". If you are prepared, and you work hard, it is a lot easier to capitalize on opportunities.

"You get what you tolerate". This one's simple, but I think it helps me put everything into perspective. If you tolerate and settle for something less than what you deserve, that's what you're going to get, but if you tolerate greatness, greatness will occur. And I think it is so applicable in regards to anything, work, relationships, and life in general.

"You don't have to do something, you get to do something". With everything that we do, it's important to follow through with gratitude. To feel privileged. To be thankful for what we have and who we have in our lives. Thankful that we're able to do things that we love to do. We have the opportunities to do things that bring us joy, fulfillment and an abundance of success. Sometimes we take things for granted, and it's important to reflect on all of the great things happening around us.

#wisdomwednesday (44) - January 6th 30th 2021

#wisdomwednesday this one's really short and sweet and to the point. Something simple, but a lot of the times we tend to forget. "You have 24 hours to make this day the best day ever, but if you fail, you have 24 hours tomorrow to try again". Keep trying, never give up, and make everyday count!

#wisdomwednesday (43) - December 30th 2020

#wisdomwednesday (43) - December 30th 2020

#wisdomwednesday Every year when the new year is upon us, it gives us the opportunity to set new goals and to keep being motivated to achieving great things. This past year in 2020, it was a year that was extremely unpredictable, definitely different to say the least. When a new year rolls around, it gives us the opportunity to wish and work towards what we could have. A year like 2020, gives us the opportunity to reflect on what we do have and how grateful we are for who we have in our lives and what we have in our lives. To be appreciative, and do the best we can day in and day out.

Sometimes going through hard times allows us to reevaluate things, allows us to improve, it allows us to learn and evolve. There is always a learning experience in everything, and there's always something to improve on. Sometimes the biggest setbacks allows us the opportunity for the biggest comebacks. It's all moving forward. Baby steps, all of the little steps eventually add up to something big, as long as we're moving forward and not digressing.

I think if we work a little harder then we did yesterday, love a little more than we did yesterday, we will be in a good spot.

#wisdomwednesday (42) -December 16th 2020

#wisdomwednesday (42) -December 16th 2020

#wisdomwednesday this time of year, now that the holidays are around the corner, there's a special feeling in the air. People seem a little more friendly, happy, energetic, ecstatic. It feels incredible having the opportunity to be around so many great people. This time of year, gives us a simple reminder to be a little happier, a little more grateful, and a little more thankful. That being said, these are things we should practice year-round, on a day-to-day basis.

Choose to be happy. Happiness is really a choice. I think happiness and the way you choose to see life is crucial. Having a positive mindset and perspective helps so much. It could be so much worst. It is important to count our blessing every day. With everything going on, sometimes it can become an environment quite negative; with the media and other people’s negative opinions. but I think it's all about having a positive perspective.

Being grateful, being thankful and showing gratitude is extremely important. Being grateful for what we have and who we have in our lives, goes a long way. It takes a village to do something great, and it's so important to have a good team around us to help us reach your full potential and to be the best person that we can possibly be.
