#wisdomwednesday (29) - September 16th 2020
#wisdomwednesday These are three things that help me tremendously, and if they can help at least one person, it makes it all worth it:
Don't dare to be normal, dare to be different and unique. Stand out in your own way. One of my favourite quotes is "don't be fine by just being mediocre, everybody has Michael Jordan talents in some capacity". Everybody has their own talents, and everyone is talented in their own way. It might not be god-given abilities, it might be talents in which you have to work at, persevere, improve on and make better, but I truly believe that there's powers within all of us. Never give up, never stop and do the best you can.
Try to make progress on a daily basis, even if it is just one thing, one thing that you can improve on everyday, all the small things eventually add up to something big. And making progress, even if it's a little progress, that leads to productivity, and productivity leads to achieving, and achieving leads to accomplishments. Trying to improve on things, doing the best you can, enjoying what you're doing, and doing what makes you happy, I think that is what it is all about.
Lastly, be grateful. Sometimes, we always think that the grass is greener on the other side. But when we think about it, everyone is grateful to have what we have. We are lucky enough to be alive, and live the life that we live no matter what is happening in this world, we are lucky to have the people that we have in our lives. Every single day, we're lucky enough to keep pushing forward to do better then we did yesterday. Every single day it's another day to be better and do better. You never know if you don't try, and there's a saying that I use every single day and the saying is win the day! So, all in all, just win the day!

#wisdomwednesday (28) - September 9th 2020
#wisdomwednesday There is a well-renowned quote that I think about a lot and it goes along the lines of working hard for something we don't care about is called stress, and working hard for something we love is called passion. When I think about passion, and trying to fulfill my passion, It generally makes me happy, and fulfilling it with the people that I truly care about, that makes me even happier. I think at the end of the day, if you keep doing what you're doing to the best of your abilities, with the right intentions, and it makes you feel good, keep doing it. Ultimately, everyday is never perfect, and sometimes things happen that we have to deal with, take care of, or find a solution to the problem. When trying to fulfill a passion, there's always bumps in the road, it will never be a smooth trajectory. When dealing with controversy or bumps in the road, these are some of the things that help me tremendously, just simple reminders.
1. Keep moving forward: never put yourself in a position to make yourself stop growing. It's important to learn, to listen, to do better today than you did yesterday, to improve, and to use momentum in a positive way.
2. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes things don't go our way, sometimes things are hard, but there is always a light and the end of the tunnel, there's always hope and lessons to be learned with every experience.
3. Fight negativity with positivity. At the time, things might not go our way, but there's always something good that comes out of it. Having a positive mindset makes everything a little more easier.
4. Don't stress about the things that you do not have the ability to control. Focus on the things that you can control and do the best that you possibly can. Try your hardest, be your greatest.
5. Actions, speak louder than words. Be a doer, win the day. Have fun, work hard, and make history in your own way. Make your own records, and break your own records. Hard work pays off.

#wisdomwednesday It is important to reflect on how far we've come individually, but I think what's equally important is to realize how far you can go. Ultimately, I think what we see is what we can look for, and if we can see it we can achieve it.
There has been three things lately that has helped me get to where I need to to be. These three reminders will help me continue to go where I want to go.
1. Go after the things you want: hard work works. There are two ways to see the world; some people see what they want and go for it, and others see what prevents them from getting what they want, so they stop. I think anything is possible if you have courage and you believe in yourself.
2. Concentrate on all the things that you're good at. Everyone has the ability to achieve extraordinary things. Everyone is different, everyone is unique. Everyone has possibilities within themselves. For me, I had a really hard time delegating tasks. As soon as I started asking for help on the things that I struggled with and concentrated more on the things that I was good at, everything seemed a little bit easier.
3. Surround yourself with great people and have a great team around you. I'm so privileged to have such an amazing family and Friends. Whenever I need help they are always there to lend a helping hand and have my back. It doesn't only take one person, it takes a village to do something great. I think it's important to show gratitude. It's so important to have people in your life that you can trust, grow, and have success with.

#WisdomWednesdays One of my favourite quotes is: “you can either make excuses or you can make history, the choice is yours”. Something that really helps me is that I always try to remind myself; if I succeed or if I fail, everything is in my hands. This helps me with responsibility and accountability. This kind of forces me to make good, smart decisions with the right intentions.
I think excuses are just limited beliefs that hold us back so that we can’t reach our full potential. For me when I think about it, if I make excuses, it is because I am scared or nervous. In my experience, when I am scared and I force myself to do something, and I finally achieve it, I feel so much better afterwards. A lot of the time fear is just self-induced. Sometimes you just have to go for it because the end results can be extraordinary.
People say it all the time, “never live with regrets”, and I think if you want to do something anything is possible, with a little bit of hard work, self-belief, and support. All great things start with a simple idea. I think we were all born to do more than what we are actually doing right now. Every day, we have 84,000 seconds, why waste them?

#Wednesdaywisdom Where we are today is the result of the decisions that we make, big or small, or right or wrong. Everyone’s journey is different, everyone deals with things differently. We will go through highs and lows, disappointments and obstacles, but I think it is important to use them as learning experiences, move forward, to never stop and never give up.
There is always stuff that we can complain about or worry about, but I think it is all about trying to give it our all no matter what the circumstances are. There are always two choices we can make; 1. Feel sorry for ourselves and find the negatives in every situation, or 2. Pull ourselves up every day, think about all the positives, and work to better ourselves day in and day out.
We just have to have belief, because where we are is where we are supposed to be. I saw a quote the other day and it was "hard work puts you where good luck can find you". Sometimes you don’t need to go with the flow, you have to be the flow.

#WisdomWednesdays Situations can always be worse. I am a strong believer that if your heart works, your mind works, your soul works, if you have good ideas, imagination, good intentions ect, there isn’t anything you can’t do!
Nelson Mandela once said: “in life you don’t lose, you either win or learn”. Things are going to be hard, and sometimes we will fall, but it is all about picking ourselves back up, learning what we can do differently, so therefore it doesn’t happen again. That being said, I think learning is all about your perspective. We can either see all of the positive, amazing things in the world, or focus on all of the bad stuff. For me, having a positive perspective, allows me to have a better attitude. I say this a lot but there are a lot of things that we can’t control. That being said, one of the one thing’s in which we can control is a good attitude. Sometimes it can be difficult, but try not to let the small stuff bother you, replace the stress with gratitude and positive thoughts.
We have everything inside of us, to do what we want to do. When we want to do something and we do our best or we go all out, not only is it good for yourselves, because it allows us to move forward, to reach new levels, but it motivates others to try and do the same. You never know how your efforts will affect others, so keep doing you and keep trying your best.

#Wednesdaywisdom Someone once told me, “if you do not have a smile on your face, there is no point in doing something”. I definitely think there is a lot of truth to that, but in all honesty, it is definitely hard to do, day in and day out. As human beings, we are not going to feel perfect, 100%, every single day. That being said, the days that we don’t, we just got to push through. In my experience, when I push through, that is when I learn the most about myself, and it allows me to reach higher limits. It is important not to look down on moments, take the moments and make the most out of them, because they are lessons, and they can make you better overall.
When I have the days that I don’t feel like doing something, I try to adapt the “do it anyway mentality”. That is when I get out of my comfort zone, minimize procrastination and minimize putting stuff off. To try and create good habits, your habits create your character, and character can impact the people around you.
I think it is all about doing things that bring you joy, and to push through the hard time, to learn from it, to therefore adapt to it, then do the things that make you genuinely happy. No matter what, try to see the good instead of the bad, to be excited, and to do things that make you smile (even through a mask).

#WisdomWednesdays (22) - July 30th 2020
#WisdomWednesdays For me I try to utilize a technique to see life as a puzzle, and the goal in life is to seek the adventures, the experiences, the lessons and the right people to put the puzzle together. Piece by piece, move by move. At my own pace. I’ll be honest, it takes me a little longer to do things than most people, and I may do things a little differently than some people, that is okay. For me it is all about adapting and trying different things, there is always more than one way to do something. People ask me all the time “why do you work so much” and they joke around with me. A big reason is because I am stubborn, but I know that I can do it, I just believe in myself. I just try to have the mentality of “having no excuses”. For me, the one thing that helps me tremendously, is reminding myself that if I am not at the top of my game, if I am not doing the best that I can do, I am cheating myself, but even more importantly I am cheating the ones who support me the most, so I try to force myself to be the best version of myself day in and day out.
I think it is all about keep moving forward. Everyone has a different puzzle; everyone has the opportunity to do their own thing in their own way. It is all about the power of our choices. In this world, we can not control the events or some of the things that happen to us. That being said, we can choose what to focus on, what things mean to us and we can ultimately choose what to do and how to react.

#WisdomWednesdays One of my favourite quotes that I use on the daily is “your perspective drives your performance”. If you have a positive perspective, you’ll be able to obtain positive results. Something that I really find true is your perspective can either be your power or your prison. Try to use it as a superpower, try to utilize it as an advantage. I think having a positive outlook, seeing the good in every situation, and trying my best in everything I do really helps me. Someone once told me, how you do something is how you do everything. This gives me a simple reminder, to continue to do the best I can as much as possible.
Every day is a new opportunity to get better and better. Every experience that we have is a lesson, an opportunity to learn and grow. Sometimes we can’t control other people's decisions but we can control how we react to them. We always have the ability to react to them in a positive way, to allow us to change for the better and become stronger individuals.
Sometimes it is good to have a bit of a wakeup call; it reminds people to stay humble, motivated and to also keep moving forward in a positive direction. I think no matter what happens, keep moving forward, keep doing your best, and utilize your power of perspective to the best of your ability.

#Wednesdaywisdom Everyone in the world has special skills, great instincts and an immense amount of knowledge. Utilize it to the best of your abilities. I truly believe that everyone can achieve extraordinary things. What really helps me do the things that I want to do is believing in myself, having proper values, a solid vision, and an incredible team around me.
For me, I try really hard to stay focused and consistent on the goals that I want to accomplish. For the most part, there will be obstacles and setbacks; but when it comes to setbacks, it is all about not getting discouraged, reevaluating and recalibrating in a positive direction. When you think about it, everything starts with a simple idea, and any simple idea has the opportunity to grow into something big. Sometimes when we want to start something, it seems extremely difficult, impossible, even scary… and now, it is part of your life. For me, that’s kind of what happened with the brand. At the start, I didn’t know anything. That being said, I worked really hard, I learned a lot, I asked a lot of questions, I had a lot of help, I built relationships, I make mistakes and I grew. One of my favourite quotes is “even though maybe it’s never been done; it does not mean that it cannot be done.”
I think that is what it is all about, it's about rolling with the pushes, working hard (being the hardest worker that you know), and having fun. Being the best for yourself, the people in which you love and the people in your community.

#WisdomWednesdays (19) -July 8th 2020
#WisdomWednesdays To do what you want to do or go where you want to go, you don’t have to be the most talented or the most intelligent. For me, what has really helped me, is just to work hard, to outwork as much as possible and to be better and better every day. For me, what really helps is reminding myself just to keep moving forward, and the only way that I can “lose” is if I quit or give up. There is a quote that people say all the time and it's true; “the only person that can stop you, is you”. I think it is all about what you do with the opportunities that you have.
The reason why I love working out so much is because every rep, every set, every time I lift something, I get stronger. If you look at it in a different way, in life we have to deal with some heavy stuff and unforeseen circumstances. That being said, over time, we learn how to deal with it, and we get stronger and we are able to adapt, because the more we practice, and the more times that we do things, ultimately the better we will become as individuals.
All in all, I think it is all about giving a solid, honest effort and always focusing on the results with good intentions. Try not to get discouraged during hard times, at the time, in the moment it might suck, but it will pass, and we can always grow with every experience.

#Wednesdaywisdom (18) - July 1st 2020
#Wednesdaywisdom: There is a quote that I stumbled upon the other day that I really liked and it is “do not be perfect, be patient. From time to time, we live in a world where it is easy to compare ourselves to others, especially with social media being as big as it is. I think the most important thing is to do your own thing, run your own race, and do what makes you, YOU!
When you think about a flower, it does not look over to the other flowers and tries to grow the fastest or biggest, it just grows at its own paste, it just does its own thing and grows the way it wants to grow. Sometimes it takes longer than others. As human beings, sometimes good things take time, being patient, consistent and having a positive attitude as well as an unstoppable attitude will allow us to get to where we want to go.
I am a strong believer that half fast effort will give you half fast/poor results. This is something that has really helped me in life with productivity and in business as well. Something that has really helped me and something that I remind myself is “how you do something is how you do everything”. All in all, just try and do the best you can all the time, be a good-hearted person, work hard and be patient.
Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦♥️
