Fourth (4) Blog - April 5 2020

@champagnepapi says it the best. "Smile and let everyone know that today, you're a lot stronger than you were yesterday". ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It is important to have a positive attitude when things go bad, do things that make you happy, and eliminate things that don't make you happy. Everyday is another opportunity to get better and better, stronger and stronger. Appreciate the little things and keep moving forward.

#Wednesdaywisdom:⁣⁣
This post kind of piggybacks off yesterday’s post; about happiness and on how happiness is really a choice. I think happiness and the way you choose to see life right now, is crucial. Having a positive mindset and perspective helps so much. It could be so much worst. It is important to count our blessing every day. With everything going on, sometimes it can become an environment quite negative; with the media and other people’s negative opinions.⁣⁣ Think about it like this. When a flower doesn’t bloom, you don’t blame the flower, you blame the environment, sometimes you have to change the environment for it to grow and flourish. How do you expect to bloom into a beautiful flower, in a toxic and negative environment?⁣⁣
⁣⁣ A few things that I try to do, that helps me change my environment for the better is;⁣⁣
1. Connect more with people: Send more text, messages and phone calls to the people you care about. Show that you are thinking about them, that you care. Some of the boys and I downloaded an app called house party, it’s a cool and fun way to stay connected, to see each other, and have a few laughs. This app idea would have probably not happened if we were not in this situation.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
2. Continue to have progress: a little progress, is still progress. If you are working from home or not working at all, keep moving forward in a positive way. Don’t let that momentum stop. Don’t get discourage. Take advantage of your time, work on yourself and do things that bring you joy. Replace the negative thoughts with positive ones. Positive thoughts equal positive actions.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
3. Listen to uplifting music: You are probably thinking that this one is really random, but for me, I absolutely love music. The special thing with music is that it connects with people, it makes you feel good, sometimes it makes you think, it gives you good energy, it gets you in a good mood, it gets you fired up. For me, it allows me to focus, zone in and it allows me to be extremely productive.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Considering the circumstances, do what you can to bloom into the most beautiful flower imaginable, because at the end of the day, each and every one of you are amazing.

Second Blog - March 28th 2020

Right now we're in a situation where we have an abundance of time, more time than usual. What I'm trying to do is utilize this time as efficiently as possible and focus on things that I sometimes forget about when life is crazy busy. The one thing is that I'm doing a lot of lately, it's focussing on me. The three things that help me do this every day; I remind myself:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
1. You become what you envision yourself being. We become what we think about. Positive thoughts are so important, and how you see yourself is also equally important. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
2. Focus on what you want rather than focus on what you don't want. For me, I try to do what makes me happy, do what I'm passionate about, and surround myself with people that make me happy. I got such a great support system, family, and the best buddies that I can ever imagine.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
3. What you think your worth and what you tolerate is exactly what you will bring into your life. This is something that I had to learn the hard way, I'm sure a lot of people have done the same. For me to change this, I had to hold myself to a higher standard and have bigger goals. Ever since I've done that, everything is changed for the better. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I think it's all about being an uplifter, and changing the situation for the better, better than situation in any way you can. Throw little more compassion and appreciative joy into the mix.

First Blog post - March 24 2020

These are a couple of things that I try to remind myself every single day, little things that help me stay positive and things that help me be the best human being possible.⁣⁣⁣ If this helps one person, it makes it all worth it.
⁣⁣⁣
1. Be the victor, not the victim: Life is not what happens to you, it is about what happens to you and how you handle it. I never try to feel sorry for myself, instead I try to show gratitude, I am grateful for what I have, how I am, who I am. I am grateful for the people in my life, for my opportunities, work ethic and passion.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
2. Win the day: Make today count, utilize your abilities and resources to accomplish what you want. Every day we are so fortunate to be alive, for me, it is all about bettering myself every day. Don’t do the bare minimum, try not to procrastinate, don’t reach a quota, reach your full potential.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
3. Have a cleared eyed view: This one is all about having a focused vision, a determined belief system and earned dreams. For me having a focused vision is all about seeing something clearly, seeing what you want to accomplish, and doing everything in your power to accomplish it. I have a mentality that if someone as done it before me, there is no reason why I can’t do it. That being said, if it hasn’t been done, I have to figure out a way to do it. A determined belief is all about self-belief, I tell myself that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Also, a belief that my family, the boys and God have my back no matter what. Finally, earned dreams is all about how bad I want it, what work am I willing to put in. ♥️
